The Democrats in Congress are actively pushing a bill that would ban online ammunition sales across America.

H.R. 7166 — the so-called “Stop Online Ammunition Sales Act” — is not about safety. It is about control.

If passed, this legislation would force ammo sellers to have a federal license and ban online ammunition purchases.

For gun owners here in Indiana, passage of this bill would end one of the best options we have of finding ammo at affordable prices.

As we all know, ammunition is the lifeblood of the Second Amendment. Without it, firearms become nothing more than expensive paperweights.

Here is what H.R. 7166 would do:

🛑 Shut down online ammo purchases

🛑 Require federal licensing for sellers

🛑 Force in-person ID checks for ammo sales

🛑 Prohibit direct ammo shipments to consumers

🛑 Mandate reporting of large purchases

Criminals will ignore every one of these rules, as they always do. This bill targets one group only: law abiding citizens who want to defend themselves and their families.

Even if you buy all of your ammo locally, I hope you’ll take action.

Online sales keep prices competitive. They keep supply flowing. And they allow rural gun owners access to ammunition that local stores may not carry.

Cut that off, and shortages, higher prices, and limited availability follow immediately. That is not an accident. It is the goal.

When politicians cannot confiscate firearms outright, they try to make ownership impossible in practice.

The Indiana Firearms Coalition is sounding the alarm on this now.
