Last session, you and I held the line against some of the most dangerous gun control proposals we’ve seen in years. And we forced the RINOs to pass some good stuff, too.

But the Democrats are coming back hard, with a full-on push to repeal our state pre-emption law with HB-1482!

Once our pre-emption law is struck down, there would be nothing to stop every city and county in the state from passing their own gun control ordinances.

This bill did not become law last session.

But it’s coming back.

The impact of this bill is hard to comprehend.

Imagine letting Indianapolis, Gary, Bloomington, South Bend, and other liberal strongholds the authority to impose their own gun bans, carry restrictions, and ammunition rules.

Here’s what we could be facing:

— Cities could ban or severely restrict concealed carry
— Cities could impose local ammunition restrictions
— Cities could outlaw AR-15 and other types of firearms
— Cities could drive gun stores out of business
— Local prosecutors could unleash on us for simply not knowing the stupid gun laws in their town

This isn’t a “minor” policy change; it would be a disaster.

Without our pre-emption law, Indiana would turn into a patchwork of ‘Gun Free Zones,’ conflicting laws, and selective enforcement.

Once it’s gone, there is no going back.

That’s why Indiana Firearms Coalition is taking action now, before session really convenes here in Indy.

Gun owners stopped this before, we’re going to fight this every step of the way this session, and anyone who votes for this will be lit up in the 2026 midterms.
